بعد شوي baad shwy

chores, no drama.
Shwy the snail, crawling slowly

A shared chore list for couples. You agree who does what. Shwy does the reminding, so neither of you has to.

We handle the reminders.
You handle each other.

Shwy the snail

أهلا! I'm Shwy. Here's the deal.

How it works

Chore fights are rarely about the dishes. They’re about who has to remember, and how a request lands. Baad Shwy takes the reminding off both of you.

Split chores together

You both agree who does what. Nobody assigns. Each of you rates chores in private, and Shwy suggests a fair split you confirm together.

Shwy reminds you

Reminders come from Shwy, never from your partner. Two reminders max. There is no “remind them” button.

Can’t? Just say so

Swap it, move it, or ask for cover. Kindly. Every “can’t today” becomes a proposal, not an excuse.

A day with Shwy

Your chores. Their chores. No scoreboard.

You see what’s yours today and what’s your partner’s. You never see who did more. The only streak is a shared one.

  • Thanks, built inWhen your partner finishes something, one tap sends يعطيك العافية. One tap answers الله يعافيك.

Mental load counts

Shwy remembers the things that live in one person’s head

Most of the load is noticing and keeping track. Baad Shwy comes with the Lebanese household tasks nobody writes down, so you can decide together who keeps track of each one.

What Shwy will never do

Built so nobody becomes the manager

No scoreboards

No “you did 12, they did 5”. Keeping score reads as distrust, so the app never counts per person.

No nagging button

Only Shwy reminds, at most twice. Your partner can’t trigger a reminder at you.

No inspection

No photo proof, no approving each other’s chores. “Done” means done.

Agreements, not orders

A chore is only yours once you say yes. Proposals change nothing until accepted.

Saying no is safe

Every request has an equally easy, guilt-free “not this time”.

A private fairness check

Once a month, each of you says in private if the split feels fair. If it doesn’t, Shwy adds “let’s look at the balance” to Sunday’s check-in, without saying who.

A weekly check-in, not a trial

Five short steps on Sunday: name one thing they did, what went well, what got stuck, swap or rebalance, confirm next week. A balance feel with no numbers.

Questions

Will this fix our relationship?

No, and it doesn’t try to. Baad Shwy is a tool: it takes over the reminding and tracking so neither of you has to play that role. The relationship stays in your hands. If things feel heavy, talk to each other, or to a professional.

Can my partner see how many chores I did?

No. Nobody sees per-person counts or totals. You see each other’s chores for today, a shared team streak, and a soft “balance feel” with no numbers.

Who sees my private ratings and fairness answers?

Only you. Your partner sees the split you both confirmed, and, if either of you says things feel off, an anonymous “let’s look at the balance” item on the check-in agenda.

Why the electricity hours?

Because in Lebanon, laundry waits for the power. You enter your usual power or generator hours, and Shwy only reminds you about power-hungry chores when there’s power. Tap “the power’s on now” when it surprises you.

Is it in Arabic?

The first version is in English with Lebanese phrases at the moments that matter. Full Arabic and French are planned.
